About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer role is focused on developing and maintaining database applications using PL/SQL. The position requires strong technical skills in database development, particularly in Oracle environments, and involves collaboration with UI teams to ensure seamless integration of applications. The developer will be responsible for end-to-end job development as part of ETL processes, with an emphasis on performance tuning and data analysis to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL applications and database solutions.
• Collaborate with UI teams to integrate applications effectively.
• Utilize partitions, DBMS jobs, packages, procedures, functions, and Oracle user-defined types in development.
• Develop end-to-end jobs as part of ETL processes.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL tuning to optimize performance.
• Conduct data analysis to debug, trace, and fix performance problems.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of working experience in total.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills.
• Proficient in database development utilizing partitions, DBMS jobs, packages, procedures, functions, and Oracle user-defined types.
• Experience working with UI teams/applications and using cursors, XML, JSON, etc.
• Strong experience in developing end-to-end jobs as part of ETL.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills.
• Data analysis skills to debug, trace, and fix performance problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata.
• Familiarity with MemSQL, No-SQL DBs, and Big Data technologies.
• Experience with Python and exposure to DB connect libraries and others like requests, JSON, pandas, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Oil and Gas Industry experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
