About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining database applications using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. The position requires collaboration with business analysts to gather project requirements and the development of technical specifications. The developer will ensure system integration and create various database objects to support application features, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with the business analysis team to understand project requirements.
  • Develop overall architecture/product design documents and technical design specifications for individual modules.
  • Ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Develop database objects like packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and type objects using SQL Developer.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and perform performance tuning of Oracle applications.
  • Familiarize with DBMS packages and jobs.
  • Implement cloud-based solutions, particularly AWS RDS.
  • Utilize frameworks like Oracle APEX for application development.
  • Apply Oracle standard coding practices and industry standards.
  • Perform code reviews and unit testing of PL/SQL code developed by team members.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop program units that integrate seamlessly into the overall system.
  • Develop applications using SAFe® Agile Methodology.
  • Understand and apply CMMI Level 3 processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or specialized knowledge in software development and web application technologies.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Weblogic, Apache HTTP (OHS), Oracle APEX, Javascript, CSS, XML, and SAML integration for Oracle APEX.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Atlassian tools to support project development activities in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development environment.
