About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for the development and implementation of Oracle PL/SQL solutions for a Data Warehouse running on a Linux-based Oracle 11g RAC 2 node cluster. This role is crucial in supporting strategic initiatives, including the integration of new business lines and the design of data marts, while also enhancing the overall data warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize excellent hands-on PL/SQL skills to design and implement data warehouse subject areas.
• Develop high performing extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) routines for loading data from the production database into the data warehouse.
• Create PL/SQL that performs well with large data sets, is written to scale for future growth and adheres to business rules.
• Effectively integrate new lines of business into the data warehouse requiring the addition of new data sources into existing tables and data marts.
• Share knowledge and PL/SQL expertise and mentor team members in the design of efficient reporting queries.
• Team with engineering, IT and business stakeholders to support projects of varying complexity; gather reporting and data warehousing requirements, evaluate best approach and propose solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Informatica Cloud (IICS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Batch Script, Shell Script, and Python.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Data Marts, and Star Schema.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and version control systems like Git and SVN.
• Knowledge of Liquibase for database version control.
