About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer role is a long-term contract position based in Houston, TX, requiring extensive experience in PL/SQL development and database management. The developer will work closely with UI teams and applications, focusing on end-to-end job development as part of ETL processes, while also ensuring optimal performance through SQL and PL/SQL tuning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for database applications.
• Utilize database features such as partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, and functions.
• Collaborate with UI teams to integrate applications using cursors, XML, and JSON.
• Design and implement end-to-end ETL jobs.
• Analyze data to debug, trace, and resolve performance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 12 years of working experience in PL/SQL development.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills.
• Proficient in database development and management.
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL tuning.
• Data analysis skills for performance debugging.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata.
• Experience with SingleStore/MySQL.
• Knowledge of Python and related libraries such as requests, JSON, and Pandas.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
