About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an entry-level Oracle PL/SQL Programmer to join the Application Solutions team. This role involves supporting various internal teams such as Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Legal by designing, developing, maintaining, and testing PL/SQL objects and programs. The programmer will collaborate with technical leads and other developers to resolve user and system issues, participating in the DevOps phases of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and test PL/SQL objects and programs including packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, and reports.
• Collaborate with technical leads, other developers, and internal business customers.
• Participate in DevOps phases of requirements, design, development, testing, production release, and operations.
• Resolve routine user and system issues and problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 3 years of work experience in an Oracle, PL SQL environment.
• Experience with SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
• Familiarity with Oracle Database Enterprise, JavaScript, HTML, and Apache Tomcat and/or Oracle Application Server.
• Knowledge of Perl, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Waterfall or Agile (Scrum) delivery methodologies.
• Configuration Management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Development experience with Oracle APEX and/or PeopleSoft is preferred.
