About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Programmer to join the Application Solutions team, focusing on supporting Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Legal teams. The role involves collaboration with technical leads and other developers to design, develop, maintain, and test various PL/SQL objects and programs, ensuring effective resolution of user and system issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and test PL/SQL objects and programs including packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, materialized views, indexes, and reports.
• Collaborate with technical leads, developers, and internal business customers to meet project requirements.
• Participate in DevOps phases including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, production release, and operations.
• Utilize SQL Developer and/or TOAD for database management and development.
• Work with Oracle Database Enterprise, JavaScript, HTML, and Apache Tomcat and/or Oracle Application Server.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of work experience in PL/SQL programming.
• Experience with SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
• Familiarity with Oracle Database Enterprise, JavaScript, HTML, and Apache Tomcat and/or Oracle Application Server.
• Knowledge of Perl, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Waterfall or Agile (Scrum) delivery methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Oracle APEX and/or PeopleSoft is preferred.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools.
