SimVentions is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer to join our seasoned DBA team in a hybrid work environment. This role is critical in facilitating data loads and movement, maintaining data integrity, and supporting tool development from development to production. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Oracle and SQL, and will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and troubleshooting inbound and outbound interfaces to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from multiple Navy and DOD systems. This position requires direct interaction with government customers on a daily basis, necessitating strong communication skills and the ability to refine requirements effectively. In this role, you will be tasked with writing technical documentation related to processing incoming files and producing outgoing file extracts. You will also design and build underlying database objects to meet customer requirements based on functional specifications provided. This may include creating database triggers, functions, procedures, and packages. Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and working in a secure environment is paramount, as is the ability to rapidly troubleshoot and address issues with incoming data or problems that occur within the load process. The position is based in Dahlgren, Virginia, and requires the candidate to live within commuting distance, as on-base presence is required multiple days a week. This is a mid-level position, and candidates must hold an active Oracle Certification and have a minimum of five years of experience in Oracle scripting, data management, and application development, particularly in managing DOD/US Navy databases.
