About the position

The Oracle SQL/PL SQL Developer position is an individual contributor role focused on application support within the Wholesale Credit Banking (WCB) Application Support Services (APS) organization. The primary responsibility is to support the Loan-IQ application, ensuring the production environment runs smoothly and efficiently while addressing any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and manage the production environment.
• Responsible for incident management and conducting proper problem follow-up.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application problems including job failures and feed management.
• Maintain/Create documentation of support policies and procedures.
• Understand the business processes supported by the system.
• Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and changes into the environment.
• Ensure continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms.
• Track progress and escalate as appropriate unless resolution is reached.
• Maintain a knowledge base of known defects and issues, processes, techniques, etc.
• Participate in production support rotation, responding to and resolving production problems.
• Work on weekends or after hours to support critical business initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with Oracle SQL and PL SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in application support.
• Ability to manage incidents and follow up on problems effectively.
• Experience in maintaining documentation for support processes.
• Understanding of business processes related to banking applications.
