About the position

The Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud (TRCS) Senior Business Systems Analyst at Equinix plays a crucial role in partnering with the Tax business group to ensure the delivery of comprehensive business application solutions that align with both business and IT strategies. This position involves managing projects from inception to completion, working collaboratively with global teams to define and implement technology roadmaps that support tax operations. The analyst will capture, document, and validate tax and transfer pricing-related business and user requirements, primarily to support the design, development, and deployment of tax technology solutions. Candidates for this role should have experience implementing or working with Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud or similar solutions, with a preference for those who have experience in implementing transfer pricing system solutions. Knowledge of Oracle financials and Oracle PBCS is advantageous. The role requires a deep understanding of end-to-end systems involving Oracle Financials, Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud (TRCS), and transfer pricing, as well as experience in the reconciliation and analysis of tax data. The analyst will translate business requirements into functional solution design options and interface with development teams to ensure that all business requirements and functional designs are understood and delivered effectively. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the analyst will work closely with teams spread across the globe and partner with the Tax team to review automation requirements, collaborating with various teams for design and delivery. Additionally, the role involves creating and managing application functional test plans and test cases, conducting application SIT testing, defect tracking, and ongoing status reporting. The analyst will also assess risks associated with various solutions and prioritize competing business demands while managing ongoing relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction with IT services. Training users and providing go-live support are also key responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

• Capture, document and validate tax and transfer pricing related business and user requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional solution design options.
• Interface with development teams to ensure all business requirements and functional designs are understood and delivered as desired.
• Work closely with global teams and possess excellent communication skills in the Tax domain.
• Partner with the Tax team to review their automation requirements and collaborate with various teams for design and delivery.
• Create and manage application functional test plans and test cases from use cases for requirements traceability, systems testing and UAT testing.
• Conduct application SIT testing, defect tracking, defect resolution, and ongoing status reporting.
• Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands.
• Manage ongoing relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction with IT.
• Train users and provide go-live support.
• Respond to and address user requests via ticketing process.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience in Business System Analyst experience within Agile/Waterfall environment.
• 5+ years' experience in tax IT domain covering direct tax and transfer pricing.
• Broad IT domain experience preferably in Tax, Oracle EBS financials.
• Direct tax experience working within IT such as corporate income tax, tax provision and operational transfer pricing.
• 5+ years' experience with Architecture design/Solution Design.
• Ability to interface with business application users at all levels to ensure that proper customer requirements are captured and understood.
• Experience implementing projects for Tax business in a global environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written communication.
• Hands-on experience in authoring functional design documents and possess high problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field.
