About the position

The Oral Surgeon at Willamette Dental Group is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care in alignment with the company's treatment philosophy and core values. This role involves working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication with patients regarding their treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Embody Willamette Dental Group's treatment philosophy, mission, and values throughout the practice.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, utilizing the highest available scope of licensure as per the state's Dental Practice Act.
• Assist in coordinating multiple schedules to ensure patient access to care and exceptional patient experiences.
• Ensure quality care and adherence to the company treatment philosophy, including reviewing data from dashboards and specialty referrals.
• Adhere to office strategic goals and economic value reports, focusing on patient count, routine work, customer experience, access, and quality care.
• Embrace customer experience and maintain patient transparency.
• Obtain and maintain Nitrous Oxide credentials and/or other forms of minimal conscious sedation.
• Strictly adhere to OSHA and blood borne pathogens policies.
• Follow FDA and ALARA principle guidelines when taking intra-oral and panoramic radiographs.
• Diagnose and treat dental issues, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Present and educate patients on proactive dental care plans during appointments, addressing concerns and second opinions.

Requirements

• Degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
• Successful completion of a traditional pre-doctoral dentistry program and valid licensure in the state(s) of practice.
