About the position

Gentle Dental is seeking a part-time Oral Surgeon to join our team in Lenexa, KS. This opportunity is ideal for a caring and motivated individual who possesses a strong work ethic and superior clinical skills. At Gentle Dental, we prioritize patient care and provide a supportive team atmosphere, allowing our dental partners to focus on what they do best—dentistry. Our practice is predominantly PPO, and we manage the details of the practice so that our partners can concentrate on delivering high-quality care to their patients. The selected candidate will benefit from referrals from multiple general dentists, ensuring a steady flow of patients and opportunities to provide comprehensive oral surgical care. The position requires a commitment of 2-4 days per month, providing flexibility for the right candidate. We offer guaranteed compensation for the first 60 days, followed by a competitive compensation structure based on 50% of production. This role is not only about performing surgeries but also about building relationships with patients and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment journey. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in oral surgery but also values integrity and doing what is right for the patient.

Responsibilities

  • Perform oral surgical procedures with a focus on patient care and comfort.
  • Collaborate with general dentists for patient referrals and treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices in oral surgery.
  • Provide guidance and support to dental staff regarding surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • Completion of an Oral Surgery Residency Certificate.
  • Graduation from an accredited dental school.
  • Possession of a current applicable State Dental License or the ability to acquire one by the time of employment.
  • Additional licenses/certifications such as CPR, DEA, and NPI.
