About the position

The Order Entry Lead is responsible for overseeing the order management process, ensuring efficient order entry and processing while collaborating with various departments. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in relevant software tools to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Master product knowledge and utilize all software and tools efficiently (Just Foods, Batch Metrics, P21, Bar Tender, Excel, etc.).
  • Understand the intricacies of the order process and identify areas of concern and potential improvement.
  • Work with major contacts in all departments to facilitate problem resolution with the correct personnel.
  • Handle minor issues and customer concerns, field and direct incoming customer service-related calls and questions.
  • Notify the Director of Supply Chain and request assistance for major issues and areas of concern.
  • Report crises to the Supply Chain Manager during hours of operation, following designated procedures to protect customer relationships and company interests.
  • Perform coaching and mentoring to support Customer Service Team members.
  • Collaborate and communicate successfully with other supervisors and managers within various locations.
  • Report learning opportunities that enhance the overall functionality and knowledge of the customer service team.
  • Act as a mentor and advocate for direct reports' growth and opportunities.
  • Process Customer Care Team PTO requests and schedule.
  • Delegate Customer Service Team workload and customer assignments under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Support sales of products from both companies as dictated by customer-specific product mix.
  • Conduct daily functions in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Support and promote the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injury incidents.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of order entry and administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Customer service orientation

Nice-to-haves

  • ERP knowledge is a plus
