Order Filler, 2nd Shift

About the position

As an Order Filler at Southwire Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the accurate storing, picking, packaging, and shipping of products. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency while fulfilling customer orders and maintaining high standards in material handling services. The role offers opportunities for growth within a leading wire and cable manufacturer in North America.

Responsibilities

• Accurately store, pick, package, and ship products with a focus on safety and quality.
• Operate a forklift or other powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fill customer orders and deliver them to the correct staging area.
• Ensure completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
• Verify that the quantity, quality, packaging, labeling, and addressing of outbound orders meet customer specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain a valid forklift truck operator's license and keep it in possession when operating a forklift.
• Ability to read, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly.
• Ability to follow directions with an emphasis on safety.
• Responsible work habits and familiarity with warehouse systems.
• Ability to handle stress caused by meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
• Ability to shift priorities easily.
