About the position

The Order Fulfillment and Customer Service Supervisor at Elmwood Stock Farm is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for leading the fulfillment and delivery of up to 1,000 custom orders per week. This position focuses on managing and growing the team, ensuring employee safety, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. The supervisor will create and manage performance metrics to measure operational success and will be actively involved in the order fulfillment process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure every CSA member and customer has a high-quality experience with service that exceeds their expectations.
  • Communicate with CSA members and customers to attend to their questions and needs.
  • Coordinate with CSA host partners to execute delivery plans and assist workplace wellness partners.
  • Professionally answer customer questions and process orders for Elmwood products.
  • Ensure each order is packed carefully, correctly, and punctually for delivery.
  • Work with the Production Manager to prepare for order packing on schedule.
  • Manage the hiring, firing, employee development, training, scheduling, and payroll of direct reports.
  • Manage performance metrics including customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and remove roadblocks.
  • Develop problem-solving methodologies to resolve customer issues and exceed expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards and organic certification.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years prior supervisory experience.
  • Customer service, order management, and/or fulfillment experience.
  • Problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage up and down.
  • Technological skills with computers, printers, tablets, Word, Excel, Google Drive, and customized software programs.
  • Driver's License required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in logistics, fulfillment, customer service, food service, warehouse, or delivery management.
  • Passion for organic food.
