About the position

The Order & Inventory Analyst is responsible for processing customer orders, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products in the automobile parts logistics industry. This role involves utilizing EDI systems, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various stakeholders to meet customer demands effectively. The position requires strong communication skills in both English and Japanese, as well as proficiency in relevant software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders received via EDI, email, or in person.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records in the database.
• Prepare shipping documents and data entries into Phreebooks.
• Create sales orders and invoices, and send advanced shipping notices to customers.
• Coordinate with the warehouse to release required parts on due dates.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and suppliers regarding shipment issues.
• Update inventory matrixes based on customer forecasts and shipping notices.
• Reconcile inventory reports and perform monthly inventory valuation.
• Create and update standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Conduct cost analyses related to logistics and inventory management.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Experience with EDI systems and inventory management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and international business principles.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
