About the position
The Order Packer is responsible for packing a variety of manufactured products and preparing for shipment to customer.
Responsibilities
- Pulls product based on daily orders
- Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner
- Keeps products separated and organized
- Monitors warehouse for unsafe conditions and reports issues immediately
- Operates various pieces of equipment (Shrink Wrap Machine, Forklift, and Electrical Pallet Jacks)
- Reports any equipment problems to manager
- Assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Follows safe work practices
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Basic level of computer literacy
- Basic mechanical skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Ability to maintain efficiencies
- Ability to utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties
- Must become certified in operation of forklift
- Must be familiar with scanner guns
Nice-to-haves
- Preferred forklift experience
- Preferred experience in scanning and sorting outgoing stock
- Preferred experience in pulling order, packing, and loading
- Preferred experience in receiving, stocking, and stacking
