About the position

Electro Rent is a leading global provider of test and technology solutions that enable its customers to accelerate innovation and optimize investments. The primary objective of the Order Processor is to ensure all orders ship on time, completed and in good working order within the confines of Electro Rent policies. The order expediter will follow up on the commitments made by the sales organization to the customer to ensure that the commitments are fulfilled. Once the order has been created, the Order Processor is the central point of contact between the sales department and all other internal departments that need to be engaged for order fulfillment. This role also requires direct involvement with the customer as they will be interfacing with them on the order fulfillment journey so too are aware of any issues that pertain to delivery expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Create/process sales orders in Perfect to ship products to customers.
  • Type/generate/fax Rental/Sales Agreement, Credit Application, Schedule A's to customers and FSO to facilitate credit approval in order to ship sales orders.
  • Commit products per company guidelines as directed by ISR/ISS.
  • Communicate with Inside Sales re handed off Sales Orders.
  • Purchase Request/Reserve product when necessary.
  • Request credit approval.
  • Assist with directing incoming sales calls.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, in accordance with business needs and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent knowledge and certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Tactful approach with sensitive information.
  • Requires good computer skills with the ability to access, input and retrieve data from the Company database and basic working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Strong initiative and good organizational skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge typically gained through (2) two years administrative and (1) one year sales related experience.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
