About the position

The Order Selector Picker role at Performance Foodservice involves selecting and preparing food and non-food products for customer orders in a warehouse environment. This position is essential for supporting the food distribution system, ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role requires teamwork and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Select cases and containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks to locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually place appropriate stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area.
• Perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensure all safety devices are functioning properly.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Remove and replace batteries requiring recharging and complete vehicle inspection checklist at the end of the shift.
• Report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer, and dry.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
