The individual will need to place corresponding stock on shelves by reviewing UPC codes, ensuring that inventory is organized and easily accessible. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards, which are critical for maintaining the flow of operations in the warehouse. The position demands a motivated, dedicated, and hardworking individual who can perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures, depending on the season. Employees will regularly lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds, frequently handle items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift items up to 100 pounds. The role also requires basic computer skills to log in and follow simple instructions, as well as the ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Loads, unloads, moves, and cuts open cases of product within or near the work site.
  • Places corresponding stock on shelves by reviewing UPC codes.
  • Reads carton labels or follows verbal requests to ascertain cases to be moved.
  • Cuts open cases of product with knife cutter provided.
  • Matches carton label to rack label and loads materials from work station onto racks in appropriate slots.
  • Counts and records number of cases cut and stocked on daily production sheet.
  • Stacks or assembles materials not used onto carts.
  • Meets productivity and accuracy standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to log in and follow simple instructions.
  • Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
