About the position

The Organic Social Media Manager at Johnson & Johnson will be responsible for developing and executing a cohesive organic social media strategy across various platforms. This role focuses on enhancing engagement and building the corporate narrative through strategic content planning and collaboration with multiple teams. The manager will leverage data insights to optimize social media performance and ensure alignment with the company's brand identity and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead a 'one-J&J' organic strategy for corporate social channels, integrating reputation-building content themes.
  • Use data from SEO, social platforms, and listening insights to optimize strategy and publishing cadence.
  • Develop social post copy across various platforms, ensuring alignment with J&J's tone of voice.
  • Liaise between teams to manage the channel planning process from conceptualization to post-publishing.
  • Collaborate with content and creative producers to execute social-first storytelling that meets business needs.
  • Elevate organic reporting and analyze data to inform optimization recommendations.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for J&J's corporate social channels, ensuring best-in-class standards.
  • Oversee project management plans and communicate timelines with stakeholders.
  • Develop best practices and training materials for stakeholders on social media.
  • Execute brand safety control requirements related to Digital Channel Strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in journalism, communications, or digital marketing.
  • 5 years of relevant experience managing a social media program for a Fortune 100 brand preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, verbal communication, and writing skills for drafting content.
  • Ability to conceptualize content and campaign ideas informed by data and insights.
  • Quickly learn and understand corporate systems, processes, and compliance protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience in AirTable or similar project management software.
  • Experience using Zoom, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
