About The Position

The Solid Waste Plant Supervisor at OCRRA is responsible for overseeing the efficient operations and production of materials at two compost sites in Camillus and Jamesville. Requirements

• Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of work experience in solid waste operations, resource recovery, construction, or trucking industries, with one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Alternatively, four years of work experience in solid waste operations, resource recovery, construction, or trucking industries, with one year in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control, and supervise the activities of employees involved in the operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in the solid waste plant.
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of plant machinery, ensuring work is done efficiently and according to safety procedures.
• Assist in developing and implementing improved work policies and procedural standards for solid waste handling and processing.
• Oversee regulatory reviews of site inspections and compost delivery schedules.
• Review daily staff assignments and manage logistics in a fluid work environment.
