About the position

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Organisation and Employee Development team at HM Land Registry (HMLR) for a Learning Design Specialist. If you want to be instrumental in designing, developing and delivering a range of creative, blended learning and development solutions to support the delivery of our business strategy, we would love to hear from you. The Organisation and Employee Development pillar of the HR & OD Directorate is responsible for the building of organisation and employee capability to meet current and future state requirements. The team works in partnership with business representatives, HR colleagues and external stakeholders to help develop the organisation and its culture, foster people potential, build skills and leadership capability and develop personal effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Design creative, engaging, appropriate and inclusive learning activities (could include e-learning, digital collaboration, group sessions, blended learning).
  • Apply the development and use of new and emerging learning technologies to learning activities.
  • Update and maintain e-learning and other learning materials and activities.
  • Delivery of blended learning interventions on wide ranging topics.
  • Data reporting and evaluation of training programmes and activities.
  • Maintaining and updating our Learning Management and Performance platforms.
  • Providing professional advice on behalf of OED team working collaboratively across the organisation to identify learning design needs.
  • Supporting with the development of design standards for digital and e-learning.

Requirements

  • Associate Member of the CIPD or equivalent experience in an HR or related position with a commitment to achieving CIPD standards.
  • Experience of training design and the creation of learning materials.
  • Knowledge of relevant software applications, such as MS365, e-learning design, LMS & LXP, and video editing.
  • Understanding of learning methodology, including design, delivery (both online and face-to-face) and evaluation.
  • Experience of using current technologies in the design and delivery of blended learning.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, capable of taking responsibility for own development, and possess facilitation and delivery skills.
