About the position

The Organizational Change Management Manager for IT Cybersecurity at Stryker is a pivotal role responsible for leading the change management strategy and approach within the IT department. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can drive the creation and execution of change management plans for various IT initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach across the organization. The manager will work closely with IT leaders to understand stakeholder impacts and will be responsible for planning and delivering Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans for key priority programs. This role also involves building OCM competency within the functional area, which is essential for the successful implementation of IT projects. In this role, the manager will lead OCM efforts for IT initiatives and programs, collaborating with business owners and subject matter experts to identify and document change impacts. This includes assessing the degree of impact on business processes, end users, and organizational structures, and defining mitigation plans accordingly. The manager will also be responsible for tracking all People/Change mitigation actions to closure and identifying barriers to change, such as employee engagement issues and communication needs. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that business owners and key program partners are aligned with the findings from stakeholder assessments. Additionally, the manager will conduct organizational change readiness evaluations and measure the adoption of key changes. This involves creating and executing deployment-specific communication plans that promote buy-in from end users and stakeholders. The role also requires collaboration with IT Organizational Development partners to drive critical elements of the OD strategy and manage training projects effectively. Communication is a vital part of this position, as the manager will work with the IT Communications team to draft communication strategies and develop key messages around upcoming changes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation and execution of the Change Management planning for each release ensuring an aligned and cohesive approach.
  • Lead OCM efforts to IT initiatives and programs within GQO.
  • Collaborate with business owners and process SMEs to identify and document change impacts.
  • Assess the degree of impact, the scope of people impacted, and define People mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Define, drive, and track all People/Change mitigation actions to closure for IT and programs.
  • Identify change barriers for programs and mitigation actions.
  • Conduct organizational change readiness evaluations and measure adoption of key changes.
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and execution of deployment-specific communication plans.
  • Work closely with IT Organizational Development partners to drive critical development elements of the OD strategy.
  • Develop key messages around upcoming changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Organization Change Management, IT, Business, Communications, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of overall work experience with demonstrated propensity to take on increasing responsibility and expanded scope required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the strategic communications/change management area required.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools required.
  • Change Management Professional and/or Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Experience working with Cybersecurity teams preferred.
