About the position

The Organizational Change Leader (WMS2) is responsible for creating and implementing change management strategies that facilitate employee adoption of changes in business processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organizational structures. This role emphasizes the people side of change, aiming to minimize resistance and maximize engagement to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will act as a coach and consultant to senior leaders and managers, guiding them through transitions and enhancing the agency's change management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive organizational change management plans for assigned divisions and projects.
  • Provide expert consultation and coaching to division leadership and managers to support their roles as change sponsors.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional change management teams across the organization.
  • Conduct assessments to determine organizational readiness for change and develop appropriate strategies and training.
  • Build capacity among employees and leaders to navigate change effectively.
  • Support the delivery of OCM practices and develop tools and methodologies for effective implementation of change management strategies.
  • Design and deliver services to improve organizational health and employee engagement outcomes.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a change manager of projects or change initiatives.
  • Two years of experience in change management, research and analysis, problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, or Human Centered Design.
  • Three years of experience or a bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, human resources, organization development, applied behavior sciences, or related field.
  • Prosci change management practitioner certification or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience facilitating diverse work groups and teams involved in complex projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with multiple change methodologies.
  • Educational coursework in organizational development, change management, performance management, and business administration.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
