About the position

The Management Consultant will serve as an Organization Change Management (OCM) Manager for the Indian Health Service (IHS), focusing on the modernization of Electronic Health Records (EHR). This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget by enhancing employee adoption and usage of new systems and processes. The OCM Manager will develop strategies to facilitate change, collaborate with stakeholders, and integrate change management activities into project plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the OCM strategy to maximize partner and stakeholder adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
  • Apply a structured methodology in leading organization change management activities to create a strategy in concurrence with government direction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on key change management components such as Stakeholder Analysis and Change Impact Assessment.
  • Coordinate with program communications and stakeholder leads to develop a tailored communications plan.
  • Work closely with project/program teams to integrate OCM activities into project plans.
  • Support the development of change impact assessments to identify potential challenges and barriers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of OCM strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support OCM initiatives.
  • Facilitate program workshops to gather feedback and address concerns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant OCM strategy experience in the Health/IT consulting industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Relevant OCM certifications such as Prosci, CCMP, or others.
  • Broad knowledge of management consulting with a clear vision of successful consulting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proven experience as an OCM Strategist or in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting electronic health record modernization in federal health.
  • Knowledge of the Indian Health Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, and/or Department of Defense environment.
