Our mission is to partner with organizations to save them millions of dollars while ensuring they achieve their Return on Investment (ROI). Our core competency lies in successfully leading organizations through transformational change, focusing on three key areas: Organization Development, Change Management and Adoption, and Technology Solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Organizational Change Manager to join our client's team on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate smooth transitions during a period of organizational change, recognizing the need for evolution in response to market dynamics, technological advancements, and strategic growth initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that these changes are effectively managed, adopted, and integrated across all levels of the client's organization. This position offers a pay range of $70-110 per hour and is hybrid, allowing for occasional travel into the LA metro area while primarily working remotely. As the Organizational Change Manager, you will collaborate closely with leadership and various divisions to capture employee perspectives, ensuring these insights inform the development of strategies to address potential resistance. You will engage with stakeholders to cultivate positive relationships and secure commitment to program implementation. Your responsibilities will include identifying resistance to change, providing support to operational teams, conducting impact analyses, and developing communication materials to facilitate the implementation of change initiatives. You will also define success metrics and monitor the progress of change initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with leadership, corporate and public affairs, and representatives from various divisions to capture employee perspectives.
  • Ensures employee insights are incorporated into strategies and tactics to address potential areas of resistance.
  • Engages with stakeholders to cultivate positive working relationships and secure commitment to program implementation.
  • Identifies potential resistance to change and formulates strategies to proactively address it.
  • Provides support to operational teams in gathering inputs for change initiatives.
  • Captures, customizes, and delivers project impact analyses and assesses readiness for change.
  • Conducts or oversees end-user training as needed.
  • Measures and reports on the adoption, sustainability, and compliance with new initiatives.
  • Ensures project plans incorporate appropriate change enablement strategies and tactics.
  • Drives the creation of communication materials for change initiatives.
  • Contributes to establishing business integration approaches across projects and recommends improvements.
  • May assume leadership roles in projects of varying scales.
  • Defines success metrics and monitors the progress of change initiatives.
  • Conducts impact analyses for projects and presents recommendations.
  • Develops a structured methodology for assessing the impact of change.
  • Drives change management tasks while ensuring quality standards and consistency.
  • Adheres to key change milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Conducts routine assessments to validate progress and outcomes.
  • Develops and executes a communications plan for employee communications related to IT initiatives.
  • Designs communication deliverables, including presentations, memos, and FAQs, with guidance from leadership.
  • Identifies suitable communication channels and tailors messages for segmented audiences.
  • Innovates in stakeholder communications and collaborates with internal communications teams.

Requirements

  • Over 3 years of experience in organizational change management, ideally within a utilities company.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Change Management Certification, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and progression within change management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality outcomes for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Proficient in identifying and managing resistance to change.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of leading multiple change management workstreams and being accountable for performance and results.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and integrating change management milestones into project plans.
  • Skilled in conducting stakeholder analysis, audience segmentation, and message definition.
  • Competent in evaluating user readiness and planning for transition of ownership to the business.
  • Proficient in defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring progress of change initiatives.
  • Sole responsibility for devising and executing an enterprise-wide change management strategy.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and strategic planning aptitude.
  • Adaptable and flexible, thriving in ambiguous situations.
  • Previous experience in mentoring team members in change management.
