About the position

Aya Healthcare is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager/Organizational Change Management Consultant for a contract opportunity in Columbus, OH. This role is primarily remote but requires the candidate to be located near Columbus for occasional onsite meetings. The contract duration is one year, and the working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The onboarding process is expected to take 3-5 weeks from the acceptance of the offer to the start date. The Change Management Consultant will be responsible for planning and executing organizational change management (OCM) initiatives. This includes collaborating with initiative staff and leaders, identifying project risks, creating mitigation strategies, and supporting communication planning, organizational readiness, and stakeholder analyses. The consultant will work closely with executive management across the health system to determine how technology can assist in addressing the needs of the enterprise, translating these needs into system requirements and design specifications. In this role, the consultant will leverage the integration of applications and technology for competitive advantage, coordinating dynamic teams to meet business objectives, schedules, and outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT management within the healthcare sector, with a focus on change management. They will be expected to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, build consensus across diverse business groups, and influence successful outcomes. Strategic thinking and a deep understanding of program and project management across multiple industries are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute organizational change management (OCM) initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master's preferred.
  • Experience in previous OCM IT management & healthcare role preferred.
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, AIM, CMS) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors, and others.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building consensus across diverse business groups and leaders, influencing successful outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to combine broad business, technical, and political factors.
  • Deep understanding of program and project management across multiple industries.
  • Consistent exercise of judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Possess expert knowledge in schedule management.
  • Possesses expert knowledge in various vertical industries and conveys knowledge to others.
  • Ability to stay current on IT and Healthcare technology trends.
