About the position

The Organizational Change Manager - Transformation at Sylvamo is responsible for leading the strategy and design of an organizational change management culture, particularly within the digital transformation area. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth adoption of new technologies, processes, and systems across the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective change management strategies that enhance employee engagement and minimize resistance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sylvamo's strategy and proposed design for internal organizational change management culture.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change strategies and plans for digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish best practices for organizational change management including actionable procedures such as communications plans and training plans.
  • Conduct impact assessments to understand the effects of changes on various stakeholders and organizational units.
  • Identify key stakeholders and develop a stakeholder engagement plan to ensure their involvement throughout the change management process.
  • Work closely with third-party experts in the change management space to apply best practices across initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver clear communication plans and materials to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with training teams to identify training needs and develop training programs.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees and managers throughout the change process.
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of change management efforts and monitor progress.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Prior change management experience.
  • Change management certification, required.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and self-starter.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior management of third party resources, preferred.
  • Union environment experience, preferred.
  • Strong marketing and presentation development skills.
  • Digital transformation change experience preferred.
