About the position

The Organizational Change Manager position within the Lean Innovation and Improvement Bureau of the State of Michigan's Department of Treasury is responsible for overseeing department-wide organizational change management services. This role involves planning, directing, and managing staff while collaborating with various agencies and internal bureaus to implement effective change strategies and communications. The manager will also assess the impact of changes and monitor related metrics, ensuring successful adaptation and collaboration across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and manage staff responsible for organizational change management services.
  • Interact with other agencies engaged in change management activities.
  • Work closely with the Continuous Improvement work unit to assess the impact of change.
  • Develop strategies to prepare and implement change with stakeholders.
  • Assist with change management communications and identify change metrics on projects.
  • Provide direction and control of functions and activities in the work area.
  • Establish priorities, allocate staff, and handle administrative and planning functions.
  • Evaluate, coach, counsel, and mentor assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
