About the position

The Organizational Development & Learning (ODL) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating strategic learning and development programs that enhance employee performance, leadership effectiveness, and organizational culture. This role focuses on organizational development beyond traditional training and development, incorporating leadership growth, talent development, employee engagement, and change management strategies. The ODL Specialist partners with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to assess learning needs, create impactful development programs, and foster a continuous learning environment. By leveraging innovative learning technologies, data analytics, and adult learning principles, this position plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s mission, culture, and long-term workforce planning.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver ODL-focused programs that align with the organization’s mission, culture, and strategic goals while ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and accrediting requirements.
  • Oversee new hire orientation, onboarding programs, leadership training, and career development initiatives to enhance employee growth and engagement.
  • Assess learning needs through focus groups, feedback loops, and performance data to continuously improve development programs.
  • Partner with leadership and HR teams to identify staff development needs and coordinate the delivery of effective learning solutions.
  • Participate in task forces, committees, and special projects to advance organizational learning strategies.
  • Apply creative problem-solving and research skills to develop innovative learning solutions that accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Create visual content to support educational and training needs.
  • Travel to Chapters locations as needed to meet business needs.
  • Manage organizational, non-clinical learning programs within Workday Learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in organizational development, talent development, or learning & development roles.
  • Strong facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual audiences.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development.
  • Experience with Workday and emerging corporate training techniques (AI-powered learning platforms, microlearning, immersive/interactive learning, blended learning, and continuous learning ecosystems).
  • Strong content creation abilities using multimedia tools (like Canva, Adobe Premiere, Powtoon, Synthesia AI, FlexClip).
