About the position

The Organizational Development Program Manager will play a crucial role in providing organizational and training support to the Office of International Programs (IP) and the United States Forest Service (USFS). This position focuses on facilitating strategic planning, enhancing leadership skills, and fostering collaboration among staff, while also ensuring effective onboarding and training for new and existing employees.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a strategic planning process for office leadership and staff, helping them develop a shared vision and understanding of current challenges and opportunities.
  • Equip both managers and staff at IP with tools necessary to support and facilitate organizational changes.
  • Enhance leadership skills with IP.
  • Foster partnership and collaboration skills among all staff members.
  • Cultivate a management and leadership mindset that supports unit leaders in implementing human resource practices.
  • Provide a structured and cohesive onboarding experience for new staff, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the organization and familiar with key processes and values.
  • Offer training sessions or workshops to address changes in technology and software, ensuring all staff members have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, seminars, training sessions, and study tours with various stakeholders, both domestically and internationally.
  • Engage the management team in identifying areas for improvement and setting realistic, achievable goals and objectives for the defined period.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of demonstrated experience in organizational development, facilitation and training activities with time sensitive deliverables.
  • Demonstrated international experience, with a strong understanding of diverse cultural contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multicultural teams and engaging with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds.
