About the position

The Organizational Learning and Development Specialist at Block By Block is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs for Transit Ambassadors, Supervisors, and the Management Team. This role is essential for ensuring that new hires receive the necessary training and support to thrive within the organization, focusing on instructional design and adult learning theories.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of Transit Ambassadors.
  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, videos, manuals, e-learning modules, and hands-on activities.
  • Continuously assess and update training content to ensure it is current, relevant, and effective.
  • Facilitate orientation programs for new hires to introduce them to the company culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
  • Work closely with department managers and team leaders to identify training needs and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in training and development, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training software.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
