About the position

The Organizational Transformation Project Manager will lead major organizational transformation efforts within King County Metro's Mobility Division. This role focuses on redefining contract management practices, implementing the Integrated Services Program, and streamlining core administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for driving change in a complex organization.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate projects, defining scope, schedule, resource planning, and project team structure.
  • Analyze business needs and assess process improvements.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on completion of project tasks and deliverables.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-departmental project teams.
  • Track, analyze, and manage risks, issues, and decision-making necessary for project delivery.
  • Coordinate work and manage dependencies with other Metro projects.
  • Manage project communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage contract and matrixed resources as part of unified project teams.
  • Ensure on-time completion and closeout of project deliverables.
  • Conduct change readiness analysis and implement change management plans.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in project management, organizational change management, and/or Lean/continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate group decision-making.
  • Ability to distill complex technical information into effective messages for various audiences.
  • Skill in consulting, facilitating, and influencing at senior leadership levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, plan for, and manage major organizational changes.
  • Skill in working collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with change management certifications (PROSCI or similar).
  • Experience with project management certifications (PMP or similar).
  • Facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to design and run meetings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including effective use of visuals.
  • Proficiency in modern office software for various tasks.
