About the position

As a Sales Originator - Giants at ENGIE, you will be instrumental in expanding the customer base, particularly focusing on large commercial and industrial clients. Your role will involve building relationships, developing tailored risk management solutions, and negotiating successful transactions. You will also represent ENGIE at various events to promote the company's energy transition initiatives and product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with Giant customers (100,000 MWHs+) in ERCOT and PJM markets.
  • Create and implement strategies to capture and grow key customers, identifying market opportunities.
  • Target large energy consumers for retail opportunities, emphasizing risk management and renewable solutions.
  • Oversee RFP responses, bid preparation, and competitive analysis, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Negotiate deals, secure approvals, and communicate complex concepts to ensure successful transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with knowledge in business practices, contract negotiations, and sales techniques.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with 5+ years in retail or wholesale power origination.
  • Proven track record of developing relationships with energy clients.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work independently in a matrixed organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. electric commodity markets and corporate energy management practices.
  • Strong sales experience with excellent networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
