About the position

We are seeking a part-time Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in Plymouth, MA. The role involves assisting the orthodontist during procedures, maintaining patient care, and ensuring efficient workflow. While direct orthodontic experience is preferred, hands-on training will be provided for all candidates. The position requires knowledge of dental and medical terminology and the ability to implement infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist chairside during procedures, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Utilize 3D scanner for accurate impressions and treatment planning.
• Maintain knowledge of dental and medical terminology for effective communication.
• Implement aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
• Support with general dentistry procedures and specialized treatments.
• Collaborate with the orthodontic team to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• Dental assisting training with a certified program.
• MA Dental assisting license.
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred (1 year).
• Computer skills (1 year preferred).
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Dolphin Management and Imaging software.
