About the position

The Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join its academic practice. This role is based at Westchester Medical Center and involves working in a medical office located in Poughkeepsie, NY. The successful candidate will be part of a respected service that supports orthopaedic residency and fellowship training programs, and will work in a busy Level 2 trauma center that is accredited by the American College of Surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand and upper extremity surgeries.
• Provide general orthopaedic surgery services.
• Manage community trauma cases.
• Participate in residency and fellowship training programs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in hand and upper extremity surgery.
• Board certified or board eligible by the ABOS.
• Excellent clinical skills and communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in academic medicine.
• Fellowship training in hand surgery.
