About the position

Fast Pace Health is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA) to join their team in Morristown, Tennessee. This role focuses on delivering high-quality healthcare within an urgent care facility, specifically as part of the ancillary services team. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, flexibility in scheduling, and a commitment to improving community health.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies.
  • Administer non-surgical fracture reductions.
  • Monitor and manage the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Perform joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections.
  • Administer intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound.
  • Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts.
  • Educate patients on cast care and potential complications.
  • Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Determine whether surgical or non-operative approaches are most appropriate.
  • Provide patients with detailed information about their orthopedic conditions.
  • Offer guidance on home exercises, physical therapy, and activity modifications.
  • Address patient questions and concerns, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation.
  • Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
  • Deliver excellent patient care through in-patient and virtual diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA)
  • 1+ year of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections
  • Masters Degree
  • Family Nurse Practitioner License, APRN, Physicians Assistant License
