About the position
Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Per Diem Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at Banner Lassen Medical Center. Nestled near the beautiful Susan River, this opportunity combines professional growth with an enviable outdoor lifestyle. The position offers a diverse case mix, including a balanced blend of acute and elective orthopedic cases, focusing on general sports medicine and bread-and-butter arthroplasty. Surgeons will benefit from protected OR time with weekly block hours, and will provide both inpatient and outpatient care, with rounding at one hospital and follow-up care at a well-appointed clinic just 5 minutes away. Call requirements include a 60-minute call back time.
Responsibilities
- Perform orthopedic surgeries and procedures
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care
- Participate in surgical rounds and follow-up care
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals
- Maintain excellent communication with patients and staff
Requirements
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Current or recent experience in general orthopedics, acute fractures, and sports injuries
- Competency in arthroplasty is a plus
- Possession of or eligibility for a California Medical License
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong commitment to patient care and outcomes
