About the position

The Orton Gillingham Specialist at Schaefer Education Solutions is responsible for working with students to implement and track Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives. This role involves assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring compliance with IEP requirements. The position can be part-time or full-time, offering flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Read each student's IEP and implement intervention IEP goals and objectives.
• Track IEP progress and attend IEP meetings once per year.
• Submit Present Levels and new IEP goals at least 15 business days prior to current IEP expiration.
• Report student's progress once per quarter through the student's SAFE account.
• Submit progress reports on or before September 30, December 30, March 30, and June 30.
• Complete necessary assessments with students as required.
• Contribute to ETR once every three years.
• Log daily session notes into the Google Doc provided for each student, including the date and time of the session.
• Complete the 'Change of Schedule' form each time a student or instructor cancels.
• Collaborate with other colleagues on the student's team.

Requirements

• Experience working with students.
• Familiarity with Google Docs.
