The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a cleared Open-Source Operations Analyst to join our team at a customer location in Springfield, VA. This role presents an exciting opportunity to leverage OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) and GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) tradecraft research principles to identify and collect relevant data that supports the intelligence community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) geospatial information needs. As a geospatial open-source analyst, you will engage in tipping and cueing activities to assist a government customer, ensuring that critical information is delivered in a timely manner. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on emerging world events, providing first-look reporting to the customer. Your monitoring efforts will encompass a wide range of topics and regions, necessitating the use of both classified and open sources, as well as commercial geospatial resources, news outlets, and social media platforms. This role not only allows you to enhance your expertise but also to advance your skills in tipping and queuing tools while collaborating with fellow analysts to share knowledge and insights. The position requires you to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that operates 24/7/365, supporting the GEOINT mission as a vital team member. You will be expected to collect, research, evaluate, and develop geospatial open-source data to meet customer needs, all while adhering to strict deadlines and working under limited supervision. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to suggest and implement process improvements and support presentations of your findings to leadership, partners, and customers.
