About the position

The OSP Field Supervisor at Wire 3 is responsible for overseeing construction project activities to ensure compliance with company and permit requirements. This role supports the overall project schedule by providing technical support during planning, execution, quality control, and completion of work. The supervisor acts as a liaison between various stakeholders and is tasked with maintaining safety and quality management protocols while assisting in project management methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure construction project activities comply with company and permit requirements.
  • Support overall project schedule by providing technical support for construction.
  • Participate in planning, execution, quality control, and completion of work.
  • Serve as primary liaison between Regional Manager, Construction Manager, and QA/QC Techs.
  • Contribute to the management of overall project performance.
  • Assist in identifying potential stakeholder conflicts and facilitate resolution.
  • Communicate project risks to the Regional Manager and assist in risk mitigation.
  • Assist in implementing project/program plans as assigned.
  • Guide QA/QC Techs on completion and inspection-ready segments of construction.
  • Communicate effectively within the assigned project population.
  • Responsible for safe work practices and implementing company safety programs.
  • Work with local governing agencies and subcontractors to meet production goals.
  • Support the Utility Coordinator on the utility locate process.
  • Provide documentation, reports, and information to Regional Management as directed.
  • Care for the equipment fleet and coordinate maintenance.
  • Manage and control the use of tools during the construction process.
  • Utilize company tracking methods to report crew productivity.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management methodology.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts among stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality management protocols.
  • Experience in construction project oversight.

  • Experience in fiber optic technology projects.
  • Familiarity with local governing agency regulations.
