This position is responsible for supervising Outside Plant construction and splicing crews; this includes aerial and underground construction. The role involves performing pre-construction field walk outs to understand OSP Engineering prints, creating bill of materials (BOM) for all project types, and comparing budget to field job cost estimates. Additionally, the position requires managing outside vendors during construction and performing quality inspections after work is completed. The supervisor will also manage invoices to ensure accuracy, ensure specifications are met, and capture materials usage. Forecasting material and expenses associated with each project is another key responsibility, along with providing regular updates on each project within SiteTracker. The role also includes performing unit price negotiations with contractors when the scope of work is outside the norm.
