About the position

The OSP Project Coordinator at Lumos is responsible for overseeing the administrative aspects of multiple Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects. This role involves maintaining project schedules, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that all project activities align with budget and progress requirements. The coordinator will also be tasked with reporting project statuses to leadership and managing construction complaints, all while fostering collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the day-to-day administrative work around multiple construction projects.
  • Maintains project schedule and production tracker, delivering daily status updates to leadership and providing weekly reports to Senior Director and SVP.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with multiple contractors to ensure a free flow of information needed for reports.
  • Gathers data for all progress reporting and updates SmartSheets daily.
  • Ensures project schedule is current and production tracker is updated daily.
  • Coordinates project activities to meet life, budget, and progress requirements.
  • Maintains Street Sheets from partners and ensures accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Provides daily updates on construction status, cabinet, and power tracking.
  • Ensures all partners are aligned to the working schedule and meeting objectives.
  • Triages construction complaints 24 hours and resolves them within 7 days.
  • Manages competing priorities and interruptions while keeping momentum on critical priorities.
  • Ensures all invoices are accurately tracked according to budget and paid on time.
  • Communicates frequently with the public, representing Lumos to customers, associations, and local governments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; college degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years' Project Coordinator experience, preferably in construction.
  • Experience supporting Fiber to the Home (FTTH) construction builds preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and construction Smart Sheets is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, communities, local governments, and contractor partners.
  • Self-starter with the ability to keep pace with project requirements and flex based on competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and record information from various sources.
