About the position

Darigold is seeking an experienced Operations Technology and Automation (OT) Engineer to enhance operational performance and maintain technology systems in manufacturing facilities. This role involves providing technical support, implementing automation solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical resource to support and deliver Controls Automation solutions to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Understand and apply Rockwell PLC/HMI and drives, electrical design, and industrial network architectures in a dairy manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with plant and regional manufacturing technical resources, engineering, and IT in a high-performance team environment.
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of electrical and control standards across the manufacturing enterprise.
  • Provide technical support to ensure a safety-first environment and deliver high-quality products.
  • Develop and execute technical solutions including equipment bills of materials and scope of work.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve issues and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Facilitate support for manufacturing process and control systems, collaborating with various departments and vendor resources.
  • Provide production support and maintenance for enterprise systems including Environmental Health & Safety and Plant Key Performance Metrics.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or 5+ years of experience in systems integration and manufacturing process control applications.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing process controls networks and security systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with electrical and controls systems.
  • Experience in developing PLC and HMI solutions, preferably with AllenBradley / FactoryTalk.
  • Knowledge of electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, and instrumentation.

  • Experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships across multiple organizational levels.
