About the position

The Operational Technology (OT) Project Manager at EMD Electronics is responsible for the planning, monitoring, and delivery of global medium to large/complex OT projects and programs. This role involves leading international teams, managing resources, budgets, risks, and changes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical specifications and manage the technical implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, monitor, and deliver global medium to large/complex OT projects and programs from initiation through completion.
  • Secure required resources and utilize formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Lead international teams in a matrix environment to ensure on-time delivery of projects according to specifications and within budgeted costs.
  • Drive the collection and prioritization of operational requirements in collaboration with the business.
  • Support the creation of business cases based on operational requirements.
  • Translate operational needs into technical specifications in collaboration with Automation and Industrial Control Technologies.
  • Manage the technical implementation, including configuration, testing, and commissioning of solutions.
  • Ensure security, reliability, and quality of delivered solutions, including smooth handover to operations and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or preferably a Master's degree in industrial engineering, control systems, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering OT projects in a complex, global matrix organization.
  • Domain experience in logistics, digital supply chains, manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, demonstration, and C-level communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations while producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience with OT project lifecycles (design, build, test, commissioning, and handover to support).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • PMP, Prince2 or similar project management certification.
