OTA Test Engineer

About the position

The Test Engineer will perform Radio Frequency (RF) Over the Air (OTA) Antenna testing on mobile products with technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, IoT, and 5G. The role ensures the delivery of testing services that meet client requirements in accordance with Global Wireless Forums’ test plans and SGS quality system. The Test Engineer will conduct debugging and engineering testing services for wireless clients, maintain a high degree of knowledge of industry test requirements, and assist customers and test equipment manufacturers with issues. Responsibilities also include maintaining test platforms, conducting testing in accordance with established procedures, and ensuring compliance with ISO17025 accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF OTA Antenna testing on mobile products.
• Conduct debug and engineering testing services for wireless clients.
• Maintain knowledge of industry test requirements.
• Maintain one or more test platforms and update systems.
• Conduct testing in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete all assigned chargeable work within required timeframes.
• Ensure completion of all assigned work and documentation.
• Assist in maintaining ISO17025 accreditation.
• Manage test system maintenance and calibrations.
• Improve the testing service provided by SGS.
• Maintain laboratory and personal areas for efficient operations.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Civil Engineering (BSCE), or equivalent degree.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Intermediate English language skills; knowledge of Korean is a plus.
• Basic to advanced mathematical skills.
• Basic to advanced reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in specified software and hardware tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 2G Protocol and related software tools.
• Familiarity with Mobile Call Equipment and Spectrum Analyzers.
• Knowledge of cryptographic technology and tools.
