About the position

The Analyst of Global Reporting plays a crucial role within the Paramount Global Reporting team, responsible for consolidating accounts receivable schedules across various networks and supporting executive management with reporting requirements. This position involves creating dashboards, analyzing global metrics, and preparing cash reports and forecasts. The analyst will also assist in reconciling subledger accounts during month-end close and prepare extensive analyses for executive management, including the Worldwide Bad Debt package, which is subject to compliance audits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly deliverables for the consolidation, preparation, review, and submission of the Worldwide Bad Debt package, ensuring compliance measures are met.
  • Analyze and prepare key metrics on Ad Sales, including collections.
  • Consolidate AR schedules from multiple departments, validating data for completeness and performing variance analysis.
  • Partner in preparing dashboards for various internal teams using multiple tools and technology products.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly schedules for CFO meetings.
  • Reconcile domestic subledger, ledger, and aging for all revenue streams (Ad Sales, Affiliate, Ancillary, Consumer Products, Content Sales).
  • Run LVPLAN extracts for Manager to conduct reconciliations.
  • Conduct various reconciliations related to AR subledger, including unapplied, unbilled, and billed accounts.
  • Run Final Domestic Agings for the month-end close process.
  • Prepare on-demand reports and variations to assist with reconciliations.
  • Execute monthly deliverables to produce financial reports, statements, and related analyses, including DSO reporting, cash forecasting, and 8-week outlook reporting.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports related to aged balances.
  • Provide day-to-day accounting/reporting services for multiple departments, including variance analyses and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve data clarification issues.
  • Work within a team environment to achieve common goals.
  • Participate in risk assessments, compliance, and SOX audits with internal and external auditors.
  • Submit Audit, SOX & Compliance supporting documentation on all tested controls for Global Reporting.
  • Contribute to new projects and initiatives, including the rollout of global reporting and compliance processes for multiple OTC teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in analysis work or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
  • Experience with PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle.
  • Strong communication skills - oral, written, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to think outside the box and be a self-starter.
  • Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur.
  • Flexibility with work schedule.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on details and follow-up.
  • Results-oriented and able to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with experience meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to act with integrity.

  • Proficient experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting tools and systems.
  • Experience in the media or entertainment industry is a plus.
