About the position

The OTD Controller (Spares Analyst) at Safran Seats plays a crucial role in managing customer demand and ensuring timely delivery of spare parts. This position is integral to optimizing delivery schedules and enhancing operational performance, contributing to Safran's reputation as a leader in the aerospace and defense industry. The role involves collaboration with various teams to meet customer expectations and drive continuous improvement in processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the dedicated Spares order book according to the date requested by customers.
  • Manage commodities for the assigned customers.
  • Challenge supply chain and manufacturing operations to close existing gaps.
  • Secure delivery times of parts by coordinating with supply chain and manufacturing operations to meet customer deadlines.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks between front office and suppliers.
  • Provide regular reporting of the order book to internal customers such as Front Office, PM, and Sales.
  • Set up and monitor KPIs to track the health of the order book.
  • Respond promptly to information requests and improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in follow-up meetings for production and supply chain workshops.
  • Prioritize lines if necessary in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze root causes of delays and initiate action plans to remove roadblocks.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business or related field required; Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-related area or proven ability to work well with customers.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, Planning, and understanding of terminology and operating methods is preferred.
  • Proficient in the operation of office computers and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment.
  • Ability to read and review written communication and communicate clearly in English.

  • Experience within the Safran Seats USA organization is preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience interfacing with multi-cultural outside customers.
