About the position
The Sr. Manager IT Logistics Systems role focuses on overseeing the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system and ensuring it meets the logistics needs of the business. This position involves collaboration with the Head of Logistics to enhance transportation systems, manage integrations with third-party logistics providers, and oversee IT projects related to logistics. The role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence three days a week and remote work on the other two days.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Logistics to understand transportation needs including ground and ocean freight.
- Identify enhancements for the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and Omnitrac systems to meet business requirements.
- Design and oversee integrations with third-party logistics providers, including API and EDI integration.
- Maintain relationships with software vendors and support the product roadmap cross-functionally within the company.
- Manage third-party consultants supporting development within the logistics system.
- Manage technical spend and ensure the value of that spend.
- Manage all IT projects for logistics.
- Occasional travel, less than 25%.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of technology application experience, with 4+ years of business analysis and project management.
- Experience with supply chain logistics, specifically transportation including ocean freight, ground transportation, and EDI transactions.
- Must have experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
Nice-to-haves
- PMP certification.
- APICS or other Supply Chain/Logistics certification.
