About the position
The OTR Box Truck Driver position at U & J Hauling LLC is a part-time, on-call role responsible for safely transporting goods and materials using a variety of trucks. The driver will play a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Safely transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to handle various types of freight including hazardous materials
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
